No. INEX GEAR products are not acceptable medical devices and are not suitable for use in healthcare settings.

Will INEX GEAR protect me from the Coronavirus/COVID-19?

No product is capable of 100% protection against harmful particles, germs, or viruses. We do not guarantee that our products will protect you against COVID-19 or other viruses. Viruses may be found on the outer surface of face coverings and can be a source of self-contamination.

INEX GEAR face coverings, along with hand washing and social distancing, support the effectiveness against viruses. We encourage you to follow governmental guidelines and orders regarding face coverings and other precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please visit cdc.gov/coronavirus for further guidance on face coverings.

Where are INEX GEAR products made?

Our products are designed and engineered in California. The INEXSHIELD is manufactured in Europe and the product produced in China.

What is INEXSHIELD nanofiber?

Our nanofiber is a non-woven material from Europe that consists of an extremely thin layer of ultra-fine polymer fibers – allowing for comfortable air flow, while helping to block harmful airborne pollutants.

What is the difference between INEXSHIELD and a typical filter?

Unlike most filters, INEXSHIELD nanofiber technology filters air mechanically rather than electrostatically, making it reusable and washable. Most filters are manufactured through a melt-blown process, which causes the filter to drastically lose efficiency when exposed to moisture.

Can I wash my INEX GEAR? 

Yes! All INEX GEAR styles are washable and reusable. Please follow the care instructions found on each product and visit our care Instructions page for helpful tips.

We suggest that for the masks you hand wash only and  lay flat to dry. It is highly recommended that you do not use your washing machine or dryer. The bandanas may be machine washed but we recommend hang drying and not using your dryer for this product either.

Do I need to replace the filter?

No! Our INEXSHIELD nanofiber filter is embedded in the product and washable – you’ll never need to remove or purchase new filters.

How do I choose the right size for me?

INEX GEAR masks come in 3 sizes. Large, Small/Medium, and extra small/Kids. Our sizing reference guide is designed to help you choose the best size based on the measurable distance between the bridge of your nose and the bottom of your chin. When taking a measurement we suggest sizing up to allow breathability room. See our size guide.

Will INEX GEAR fog up my glasses?

INEX GEAR masks and bandanas have a custom moldable nose bridge built in which seals the mask over your nose and flattens the facial covering over your cheeks. When you exhale, your breath will pass directly through the fabric and not up into your glasses. If you experience fogging, adjust your nose bridge accordingly and make sure there are no open air gaps around your cheek area.

Are INEX GEAR masks good for kids?

Yes, INEX GEAR masks come in XS/Kids sizes and are suitable for children over the age of 5. Masks of any kind are not recommended for children ages 2 and under.

What is the difference between a typical bandana and The Better Bandana?

A typical bandana is made from a single layer of fabric and offers very little protection. The Better Bandana is a double-layered cotton shell embedded with our INEXSHIELD nanofiber filter that mechanically helps block harmful airborne contaminants. Plus, it’s equipped with an antimicrobial treatment and a custom moldable nose bridge in order to assure a more secure fit.

What is pre-order?

Pre-orders are products that are available for purchase but are currently in production; they will ship as soon as they are ready. Pre-order products may take a couple of weeks to ship. We’ll send you an email once your order has been successfully placed, when it ships and also when it’s delivered.

Can I buy your product from a bricks and mortar store?

Our products are only available to purchase right here on inexgear.com.

Do you sell wholesale or offer custom options? 

We cannot fulfill wholesale or custom orders at this time. Our INEXSHIELD nanofiber filter is not offered in bulk or sold separately.

When will my order ship?

All orders received by our warehouse before 10:00am PST M-F will be processed and shipped the same day. Orders placed after 10:00am PST will be shipped the next business day. Standard holidays apply for the shipping carrier chosen.

What are my shipping options? 

You may choose between various FedEx, and USPS shipping options. You can also choose free USPS standard shipping for orders over $50 within the U.S.

For non U.S. orders we use USPS First Class International and FedEx International Economy. Other options may be used as necessary.

Where are orders shipped from?

Our warehouse is located in sunny Southern California.

Will I receive shipping notifications?

You will receive an email notification confirming your order once an order has been successfully placed. You will also receive follow up notifications by email when your package ships and is delivered.

Where can I get my tracking number?

You will receive a tracking number in your email confirmation when your order ships out. If you do not receive this information you may contact us at info@inexgear.com.

What is your return policy?

Because of hygiene reasons and safety protocols, we do not accept returns for opened or used merchandise.
